After last weekend’s little adventure to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, Fran, Rebecca, Isabelle and myself made our way across London to Brick Lane. Jewellerybox.co.uk, in collaboration with Scarlett London (who puts on the most amazing blogger events – sign up here!) had invited us to an after hours gathering at their latest pop-up shop for drinks, nibbles and the chance to try on lots of jewellery. What’s more with a generous discount on offer to us that evening it was a great opportunity to pick up some bargains before Christmas.

Brick Lane at night reminds me of holidays. Not because of the balmy nights (FYI it was absolutely perishing even though we were wrapped up in our Winter woolies) but because you can’t walk more than 5 steps without someone stepping out of the shadows to try and entice you into their restaurant. As we politely shook our heads and moved on they would call out: “Free bottle of wine for you…. okay two free bottles!” Something tells me it wouldn’t have been a classy vino…

As usual JewelleryBox had gone all out to create a beautiful warm and inviting space. Fairy lights glowed, the silver and gems twinkled and shone…

…and the shop was festooned with typically stylish Christmas decorations.

Seriously, they should have a sideline in interior design or homeware accessories!

From chunky to dainty, I’ve developed a bit of an addiction to jewellery… in particular rings right now. I find it really fun mixing and maxing different styles to get the perfect look (check out my instagram to see more!) JewelleryBox have some amazingly good value sterling silver rings, many of them less than £10 and I really rate them because they are not only lovely and smooth which gives a comfortable feel, but also many of them are adjustable. My fingers tend to swell up when I’m warm and shrink several sizes when cold so this is a godsend for me.

I already own some delicate silver rings from JewelleryBox but this time around I spotted the most gorgeous statement ring – black agate marquise cut and adjustable too! It’s a bit pricier than what I’d normally spend at £26.50 but the quality for that price is second to none and I couldn’t resist (you can see what I mean at the bottom of this post!)

They had so so many different style of earrings too, from the quirky (think every kind of animal you can think of… including dinosaurs!) to sophisticated and everyday wear to ‘out out’ styles.

I fell head over heels for the Abella range which features bee charms dipped in 18ct gold. Aren’t these gorgeous? I only resisted because I’d already bought the ring!

Whilst there we also got the chance to personalise a charm by using a special jewellery machine to stamp it.

It turns out that I’m absolutely useless at this technique… as you can see I just about managed to fit my L on the bottom of the charm… I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be in the centre. Oh well… at least it’s unique to me now right?

Not only did I have lots of fun trying on jewellery but I also got to spend the evening in the company of some of the loveliest London bloggers I know, as well as meeting some new ladies too whom hopefully I’ll get to see again very soon.

So…

Gorgeous jewellery – check.
Christmas shopping – check.
Fabulous company – double check!

…all in all not a bad Saturday night. Not bad at all…

Many thanks go to Scarlett and Jewellerybox for inviting me and being such wonderful hosts. They also very generously sent me home with a goodie bag and for once I was patient enough to wait until I got home to open it… and ooh it’s all Christmassy goodies – hooray! Guess what I’ll be wearing into the office from now until the 25th!
